Diverse and flexible reception rooms available for the ceremony
The Grand Hall
The Grand Hall provides a large space that perfectly fits for indoor dining or for the reception party. It can accommodate 150 seated guests. The room is equipped with a sound system ready for your DJ to plug into. An adjoining kitchen is usually used by the caterer to set out canapés for the cocktails.
The terrace
Out front the hall is a large terrace with pergolas and suspended fairy lights. For many, this provides a space for outdoor dining before the guests flow into the hall for the after dinner.
The winter garden
This room can serve for many different types of functions. It is a blank canvas that can be decorated to suit your needs. All the doors around the winter garden slide back, to open up the space to the park if you wish to.
With its large glass sided marquee, the winter garden provides a great back up space during inclement weather. Most frequently, it is used as a shaded area where the bar and canapés are served during the cocktail event, between ceremony and reception dinner. It can also be used for the actual ceremony.
The pool
The pool, its bar and its ample shaded space offer a welcome retreat on hot summer days. Many seating areas and sun loungers are positioned around the pool. There are toilets, changing and shower facilities.
This outdoor space is most commonly used for the Day After afternoon. In most cases, people have a barbecue or hire a food truck. We do however require that this area remains glass free, and recommend disposable plates and cups around the pool.

The park lands
The Chateau boasts 34 hectares of beautiful park with 2 lakes, a bamboo forest, and trees as old as 400 years. Exploring the grounds and secret paths is peaceful. Your guest will feel surrounded by nature.
The hunting room
On the top floor, this room is most frequently used prior to the ceremony, for one of the parties to get ready and have a pre-drink with their wedding party.
Guests kitchen
On the first floor, guests will find a kitchen, for them to prepare snacks, tea, coffee, or breakfast whenever they wish to.
The lounge and the library
On the first floor, these areas are perfect for guests to relax.
The Orangerie
Located in the park, the Orangerie is a reception area for arriving guests to check-in.
The jazz bar
Our cosy underground bar is a great place for casual drinks and late-night parties.

We hired the whole chateau for our wedding this month and had an amazing time! The venue is huge and every single room is stunning, with its own color schemes and tasteful decor; the attention to detail is unbelievable. Our guests were blown away and wanted to stay longer! There was enough room to have most of our wedding party stay on site and as a lot of people were coming from around the world, we booked the venue for several days, turning it into a mini holiday for everyone. There was so much to do, from swimming, playing tennis and generally just relaxing with good food and wine (and karaoke in the jazz bar!) in one of the most beautiful settings!

I was best lady at a wedding at the Chateau de La Valouze. We were accommodated in the apartment Saint Emilion which was delightful and very comfortable. The chateau is splendid and the swimming pool was an oasis in the heat of the Dordogne summer. In the reception hall, the stage was perfect for the speeches and other animations, then it became the perfect size dancing place for 50-70 young people with direct access to the terrace. The owner and staff were super helpful with the bride and and groom.

Our wedding at the chateau de La Valouze could not have been better! The staff and the owner were exceptional: always available, extremely kind and most efficient. The location is perfect: the chateau has lots of charm. The chateau is beautifully furnished – which is rare – as it is not a simple décor for the day. The winter garden is the perfect place for a cocktail. The reception hall has lots of character with very high ceiling and the nearby swimming pool is a must. Overall an exceptional venue: we visited many and our guest really appreciated to enjoy so much variety in the same location. You will not regret choosing La Valouze for your wedding (with its friendly staff).

I had my wedding organized at the Chateau de La Valouze. It was a real bliss! The place is magnificent and ideal to organize a wedding. The chateau has so much character, the accommodation facilities are of an excellent standard, swimming pool, a park for the cocktail … Furthermore, we were very touched by the kindness and welcome of the owner and his staff. They were incredibly helpful and worked hard to create the perfect reception! We are still receiving enthusiastic comments from our guests about the place. I could not recommend the place more!
